Policies
We live on site in the farmhouse, if you book with us we will be here to welcome you on your day of arrival, check in is after 3pm. We have a long drive up to the house if you just pull into the courtyard we will be pottering about or if you don't see us ring the bell at reception, our contact numbers are on the window at reception and if we are for some reason not available we have a resident caretaker who can look after you. The cottages are all accessible from our courtyard. In the colder weather we will make sure the fire is lit and the cottage is all cosy ready for you. If you need shopping/holiday goodies, the local Tesco and Asda deliver so order online and if it arrives before you do we can make sure everything is in your cottage on arrival. Or if you have a specific request eg champagne/flowers/surprise/ let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.
Cancellation - If for any reason you need to cancel, you can give a full 48 hours notice and receive a full refund. After 48 hours, one-nights accommodation would be charged.

About Us
Auchingoul Cottage was originally an old farmworkers’ home, but was converted in 2002 to a spacious and luxury holiday cottage which sleeps, four people. The cottage is dog friendly and we accept two well-behaved dogs. On the ground floor, we have an open plan fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge area, with comfortable sofas, TV and DVD player. Plus, a log burner to ensure the evenings are warm and cosy. A selection of DVDs and books are available for you to borrow, and logs for the wood burner are provided free of charge.
Wifi is also available free of charge.
The twin bedroom and bathroom with shower are downstairs.
Upstairs is a mezzanine balcony where you can sit and relax with a book, and a spacious double bedroom which overlooks your private courtyard with table, chairs and barbecue.
Auchingoul Cottage is a cosy base from which to explore the local area. You can walk through our private woodland to the beautiful River Deveron, if you contact us before you arrive we can organis, visit the horse riding centre which is just a few hundred yards away, or venture further afield to take in whisky distilleries, numerous fascinating castles, or the beautiful coastline.
There is so much to see and do in this beautiful part of Scotland that we are sure you will never be bored!

We are big dog lovers and your furry friends are welcome here too! Each of our properties has doggy towels, blankets, bowls, and treats.. There are some lovely walks in our area. There is plenty of room to roam 11 acres in total! We are situated on the river Deveron and have our own woodland walks to explore!
There is a local pub in the village that welcome dogs and as a bonus do some great home-cooked food. We are close to Portsoy Banff Sandend and Cullen our beautiful beaches coastline is a joy to explore.
We have laundry available for drying clothes/towels/dog coats ETC.
The beaches in the surrounding area are dog friendly all year round. And there are various pubs cafes and restaurants that are happy to welcome pets.
There is a local pub in the village that welcome dogs and as a bonus do some great home-cooked food. We are close to Portsoy Banff Sandend and Cullen our beautiful beaches coastline is a joy to explore.
